Racial profiling is all too alive and well. We should not have to worry about our sons, cousins, aunts, uncles, sisters, daughters, mothers, fathers, wives, or husbands being harassed for simply being alive. It seems that as a people we cannot do anything without appearing to be suspicious. We cannot eat, sleep, shop, play, walk home, or even wait for a bus without being subjected to some type of racial profiling. When will the out right disrespect and disregard for others end? When will we as people be able to live and enjoy our lives without having to contently look over out shoulders and check our backs? The world around us is not treating us any better now then they did back then. It is up to us to teach our children what to do and how to respond in these situations. The story linked below is a prime example of ridiculous and out right disgusting abuse of power. Not to mention racial profiling at its best. Children need not be subjected to such occurrences. So again I ask, WHEN WILL IT END?
